Charleston SC the home of many American firsts!

Charleston, SC the Holy City know as such because, of its tolerance of all relgions and because as ships come over the horizon the first thing the crew sees are the steeples on the shore.

The Charleston Museum was founded in 1773 and opened to the public in 1842 the first female director was named in 1920, Laura Bragg.

Charleston is known for having the first museum, first public college, playhouse and golf clubs, in fact in 1786 Harleston Green, America's first and oldest golf club was established.

The College of Charleston, is the 13th oldest school in the nation, many of the college's founders were instrumental in the Revolutionary war and were signers of the Declaration of Independence.

In 1736, America's oldest theatre, Th Dock Street Theatre opened, even today one can enjoy a production there.

In 1861, the first shots of the Civil War were heard in Charleston, SC., therefore the State of South Carolina was the first state to sign the Ordinance of Secession.

As you can see Charleston has always been home and a leader in positive influences in our country; the charm, the attitudes of the people in accepting all who comes to see or live here has been instrumental in her growth.  A place full of history is a spectacular place to raise a family, educate them and just enjoy the beach and history.

Rick and Angie moved here in 2007, because of family and stayed because of the charm and beauty of the low country. As realtors, we listen to our clients, we hear their needs, and wants, we help them in finding the right home to meet those needs and to cultivate their lifestyle. Like Charleston we have a history, a history of serving others and finding happiness for them and their family.
